5-Week Social Media Series

Wednesdays: July 19 thru August 16

In this age of digital curation, how you manage what others know about you is crucial to establishing your professional brand.  We all know of LinkedIn, long established as the professional’s online networking tool. And perhaps we’ve set up an account with the social media juggernaut Facebook, but are we maximize these tools as branding resources?  Or are we tossing stuff against our newsfeed to see what sticks?

We’re well aware of the perils of designing training without a well thought out approach. Such courses are usually a waste of time, money, and effort, and leave participants with little to show for their participation. The same can be said for what we do with social media.

ATD-OC is pleased to announce the return of its Summer Social Series, a collection of five webinars exploring the social media universe. We’ll apply the ADDIE model to our online communication efforts:

  • Analyzing which of the myriad of tools available will best support the digital curation of our knowledge and skills
  • Designing content to engage our audience
  • Developing a communication campaign on several platforms (namely Facebook and LinkedIn, but we’ll explore others)
  • Implementing social media accounts
  • Evaluating the results of our efforts

We’ll discuss why a presence in the major social media platforms is neither a gateway to success nor a waste of time, and how we can maximize our presence in those platforms. But perhaps most importantly, we’ll dive into these platforms to explore their -- and your -- potential in furthering the strategic development of your professional brand.

Attendance is an exclusive benefit
for ATD-Orange County Chapter Members.
